Use Figure 1 on this page to navigate to all the control panel related help pages by clicking on any item in the figure.
Note: clicking on the HELP link from anywhere in the system (provided the left hand menu module is visible) will navigate to help pages relevant to that part of the system.
Users can also use the interactive Glossary to navigate the online help. System set up information is also contained within the online help.
Module Menus and Control Panel
On logging onto the Escendency system the first page displays the two main navigation components comprising the application module and links menu on the left hand side and the user's control panel tabs along the top. Click on any of the application modules, tabs or items below for specific help on that subject.

With the exception of the 'My Password' module, the application modules in the menu give access to organisation based applications (for example the organisation's Action planning, strategy map, organisation chart, and users module). Also on this menu are useful links including the Escendency HELP (clicking on this link brings related help information relevant to the page the user is currently on), the Escendency GLOSSARY and the online support ticketing system (Helpdesk).
The control panel tabs display user specific information (for example, tasks the user needs to complete, performance targets the user is responsible for (indicator tab), and user specific reports and organisation reports the user is granted access to).
The menu options displayed depend on the user's settings in the user module and the user's access levels set in the Access Levels module. The number of tabs displayed for the current user can be set by administrators in the user's module but can be further refined by the user from the customise tab on the top right hand side of the window.
The dashboard page is the default control
panel page on logging on. To customise the dashboard page, click on the dashboard
palette
.
To move to other control panel displays, click on the
tabs on the top of the window. To access other applications on the system click
on the module menu options on the left hand side. To view the help files for
these tabs and modules either click on the tabs and module menu options in figure
1 or return to the Escendency page you wish to find help on and click on the
HELP module link for help on that page.
