| Strategy Map Item Types |
Escendency provides four default strategy map items: vision (or Vision), Aim, Objective, and Target. Administrators can edit these item's names, measurable status, and associated icon (Figure 1), or add a new strategy item to suit the organisation's needs (e.g. a Secondary Objective).

Create or Edit Strategy Items
To edit an existing item, click the edit icon (Figure 2). Users can change the item's description, associated icon, and whether or not it should always be measurabe. In practice only the lowest level strategy item (e.g. targets) should be set to Always Measurable, though this is still an option (as in the example below).

Press the "Add" button to add a new record (the dialog window will the be the same as Figure 2).
To delete an item, click the "delete" link next to the record. A popup message will appear asking to confirm deletion. Press "OK", and its status will change to "deleted".

To change the number of records shown at a time, select a different number from the drop-down list at the top of the page (it is unlikely that there will be more than 10 strategy items however).
